How We Help

Just imagine, it is 11P.M., on a Tuesday night, a school night. And there they are, fourteen young people, ranging from twelve to sixteen years of age, standing around on a corner. What are they doing out there at that time? What do they have to talk about? What makes them feel that it is acceptable to hang out like this on a school night?

We see these groups of young people in every city, town and neighborhood. These are children that are losing hope, without purpose. They don’t see their future. They don’t have anyone in their lives to encourage them to do the right thing. So they hang out with other hopeless young people who try to accept the life they feel they cannot change.

Now herein lies the problem. While hanging out, they struggle to say no, so anything goes. They smoke, drink, do drugs, cuss, have sex, carry weapons, steal, and do whatever it takes to impress the others and be accepted by them. They feel that they are not going anywhere in life, so why should they bother to try to do the right thing.

We at Turn Around Coaching have decided it’s time to life coach, educate, give hope to, support, lift up these young people by helping them to find their purpose in life. It is our mission to strengthen the self esteem, character and minds of these young people. We want them to know that they can create their life and not just accept it. We want to push them in the right direction and give them purpose, not watch them go wrong from afar, and talk about them.

We have a Math and English program in place, where other young people are the tutors, teaching up to college algebra. We have a mentoring program in place with people from various churches for those who start doing right. We have trained life coaches who are willing to work on specific areas of their life to help them overcome the problems they may face. We also have a program in place to educate the parents on how to help us lift up these young folks, so that they are not returned to the same environment we helped them overcome. Every one of our volunteers and coaches will have a background check because they will be working with young people.
